THE AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM      

It's a safe place to play, do homework, have a meal, and learn new skills to cope and strive.

We provide kids (K through 5th) with a hot meal, personal time to listen to them, group activities, Bible study, reading and homework assistance, computer skills and games, and much more!

Where would they be if they were not here? The parents and guardians of the kids do their best but they cannot be there all the time. This is a time of their lives when extra support can be the difference between paths of success or self-destruction.

Real Benefits

At Shalom Zone, they can develop a new awareness of their self-worth, their potential, and the opportunities that lie ahead. They also learn of God's love for them through Jesus, and what God calls them to be in the world. These new understandings are not easy, but they are important!

We use the Parish Nursing model of Body, Mind, Spirit, and Relationships to provide the programs that will nurture and grow the wonderful people that are in this challenged community.

Remember, the children bring their lessons home to the rest of the family !
